About Sally

 

I have been painting for most of my adult life. I love painting landscapes which include architectural interest. Most of my work has been in acrylic on canvas although I have dabbled in pastel, gouache and oil. I moved to Arlington, VA from Allentown, PA, where I lived most of my life. I find beauty in the simple life; a farm, a fence in a field, a clothesline, a backyard. I also enjoy painting from photographs which I have taken while vacationing in New England, South Carolina, England, Ireland and France.  I have recently illustrated a children’s book series, The Royal Series, written by my daughter. www.theroyalseries.com

 

I have had my paintings exhibited in several shows in Arlington, VA  as well as in the Allentown, PA area. My artwork is in the permanent collection at Just Born Candies (Peeps), as well as in many private homes. Recently one of my paintings was gifted to Aachem, Germany by the Arlington County Board. Having served on the board of the Lehigh Art Alliance for 12 years I am presently a member of the Arlington Artists Alliance.  A graduate of Chatham College, Pittsburgh, PA  I have studied painting in Pittsburgh, Allentown and Arlington.
